What is upcycling?
Doing more with less. Upcycled foods are made from ingredients that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill. Act Bars are crafted with upcycled grains, the byproduct of beer production. 


How does every Act Bar prevent 3 gallons of water from going to waste?

Over 30 gallons of water are required to produce just 1 pound of virgin grains. Through our alternative use of 5.5 grams of upcycled grains in every bar, we prevent 3 gallons of water from going to waste for every 1 bar produced. 

What are upcycled grains?
Upcycled grains are what’s left over from the beer production process. After a majority of the gluten and sugar is brewed out of the grains, what's left behind is an incredibly high protein, high fiber, superfood.

How does Act Bar donate 1/2 pound of produce for every 1 bar purchased?
Through our partnership with Brighter Bites, we’re committed to making fresh, nutritious food more accessible to underserved communities. For every Act Bar sold, we donate 10 cents, which translates to 1/2 pound of fresh produce for families in need. 

How is produce distributed to those in need?
Each week, Brighter Bites visits elementary schools and summer camps to distribute fresh, seasonal produce for families and teachers to take home. These bags and boxes typically weigh around 20 pounds and contain approximately 50 servings of a diverse, ever-changing selection of fresh fruits and vegetables.


What is the shelf life of Act Bars?
9 months. 

Is Act Bar gluten free?
No. There are trace amounts of gluten in our upcycled grains.

Can I freeze or refrigerate Act Bars?
Although you can and they would still be safe to eat, the texture and taste could be impacted.

In a cool dry space. 


How do I track my order?

I would like to cancel or change my order. 
Our team prints out shipping labels as soon as your order is placed, therefore we are unable to make changes once the order has been placed.
